Well I took the Lady out for coffee. We had a nice long conversation about this that and everything in between. Nice evening, she tried to talk me into going in her place for a nightcap. I politely declined. I said I was tired. I ended up at my hangout Lennies, had a couple of drinks and went home alone. About 7 the next morning I got a call from the ex and her telling me "We Have To Talk". I thought it was going to be the "Have a Good Life" speech but it wasn't. We went to breakfast and she told me how much she missed and and how much she loved and wanted us to be a couple again. I was, needless to say, ecstatic about this. We went back to her place and her Dad was waiting on us. He brought over an old TV he had no use for and asked if she wanted it. She had been wanting one for the bedroom for awhile. I helped him get it in. And as he was leaving out the door we were taking each other's clothes off in the bedroom. I don't know if he heard anything, but at that point I didn't care. We had a great day. Her kids came back from her ex husbands house and were glad to see me. We had a couple of long talks about us as a couple and her kids as a family. The future looks real good again, like it was before our break. I have been staying over ever since. I have had a couple members of her family and her best friend either pull me aside or call me in private how happy they were that I was back with her. Even though she dated she talked about me a lot. I guess maybe we both needed a break to realize what we really wanted we had all along. I am making plans to move in with her and her kids. My apartment lease is up the end of March so it plays in pretty good.
I am thinking Happily Ever After may exist after all. We'll see.
